I always felt happy to see Dr. Mara. She was such a high quality human being, and I could feel it, even as a child. Also, my entire family was extremely respectful of and fond of Dr. Mara. I guess I was nine years old when I met "Jackie", but I feel like I always knew her. A few years back, I wrote a letter for a student to receive the Jacqueline Mara scholarship. When he received the award, I told him how wonderful she had been (not knowing she was still alive).

I worked with Dr. Mara when she was Associate Academic Dean. In 1988, I was promoted to Assistant Registrar for the Graduate School of Business and worked closely with Dr. Mara, now the Dean of the Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Mara's knowledge and strong leadership made those ten years the most memorable and rewarding experience in my 42 years of service at New Hampshire College and Southern New Hampshire University. She was truly missed.
