Not sure what to say?

Through my friendship with Mikeila, I learned much about Jackie. She was a very strong woman, shown by her fierce independence. She was brilliant and fearless, as shown by her advancement in her career field when women still had glass ceilings to break. My sincerest condolences to all her family.

I will never forget all of the wonderful times we had touring the US and Canada doing the ladder and trampoline act, when we were young. I am going to miss our trips, visits and phone calls. Love forever.

The Lanes Sisters 1954

I remember Jackie as a beautiful redhead with lots of energy and spirit. We did acrobatics on Jim Hick's team while in high school. We did "ladders" involving one girl in the middle (Margaret) who held two ladders several rungs up, and two of us climbed up each ladder. When Margaret signaled "out," we extended a hand and a foot opposite the hand and foot clinging to the ladder. I think we were always a little scared, but felt good after it was accomplished. We traveled during the summer...

I will always think of Jackie with a smile. We became great friends over the past 5 years and she opened my eyes to so many things. Who else would take you to the symphony, the ballet, and then take GREAT pleasure in teaching you to play craps? She loved to take Mikeila and I to a buffet to watch us eat! Milt and family, my thoughts and prayers to you all. I will miss Jackie more than I can say. My love to the family.

I was one of the luck students in her first years at Lewis Junior High. She was a great teacher and person. Her and Milt came to see me in Gig Harbor in 1987 when I moved here from Vancouver. They made a great couple. I'm sure she will be missed.

Former student and friend

I'll always fondly remember the times Jackie, Pat and I spent together as Vancouver's high school principals. She was a great lady and a true professional.
