Not sure what to say?

I just learned of the death of Mrs. Selby. I went to school with her daughter Becky from Mrs. Coogan's fourth grade class at View Ridge all the way through Roosevelt High School. While I wasn't able to be at the View Ridge reunion in 2003, I saw the picture of Mrs. Selby and her husband and Becky and I could tell what a wonderful person Mrs. Selby was. You could see her joy at being part of such a special occasion. I also knew all three of the Selby children and I could tell that they...

A lot but not enough has been said about Jacque's artistic talents. I remember well her sewing, knitting, & cross-stiching abilities. As a matter of fact I still have a wool sweater she knitted, couch coverings she sewed for the foam cushions, and two cross-stiched Christmas ornaments that every year hang on my tree. These talents are a gift from God & she shared them well. Milt Brown

Memories of my little sister, Jacque, from her big brother, Bruce:

What stands out in my mind about my little sister is the love she had for her big brother through our years of growing up together. Jacque always forgave the dumb little tricks I played on her. She endured the punches on her arm and the many times I would trip or push her down when we were little. I remember the time (we were about 10 and 11 years old) when I made her so mad she threw her shoe at me. Of course,...

Christmas is a special time in the Selby home. Jacque decorated the house with beautiful ornaments and just a 'few' Santas. Anyone who has ever been fortunate to have spent a Christmas in the Selby home will understand. Regardless if you were related you were alway made a part of the family. I, and my dog Greta, were one of the many lucky adopted family of Jacque's. I will always adorn my Christmas tree with 'little teddy bear', a handmade gift from Jacque from the Christmas of 1985....

I remember the first time I met her because she immediately made me feel like part of the family. She was always upbeat and one of the most caring people I’ve met. The love she showed toward others taught me what family really means. Jacque, you and your family are in my prayers.

Because of you, I make my bed every morning after I awake. Because of you, I have floated down the beautiful Green River. Because of you, I can turn one mans junk into treasure. Because of you I believe in family. But most importantly, because of you, I believe in ever after. I love you with all my heart Saby and can't wait to be with you again. God bless, Bubba

Although I did not know Jacque very long, I do know that she was strong and brave and lots of fun. Her children were so lucky to have such a wonderful mom. I will do my best to always be there for her beautiful daughter Elizabeth. Peace be with you Jacque.

Lots of smiles and laughter, that's what I remember most about Jacque! And, not just the little, tiny ol' small laughter but the big kind, you know, her head tilted back, shoulders raised up and sometimes the hands clasped together in joyfulness. She was a wonderful Mom and wife. And, that love radiates through to you, Dean, Becci, Larry, Elizabeth and all you grandkids. Whenever my folks would get together with Dean and Jacque, Jacque was able to fill my Mom in on every family member. She...

What a very special lady. I have so many memories of Mrs Selby, where would I begin! One very special one was a Halloween she dressed Beth and I up to go Trick or Treating. She had such a creative way about her. The many, many flowers she would make for cakes. They would be all over the kitchen. She was a true example of a wonderful housewife and mother for us growing up and I will always be thankful for that. All my best, Melissa and Tom too!
