Although we didn't know Jackie during her career days, her lunch bunch and pool friends at LASC grew to love her through her sense of humor and her openness, and she loved us back. She would be happy to see how many of us were at her memorial service. At the first lunch of her friends since, a toast was raised and Jackie remembered. Our condolences to her whole family in the loss of their loved one and our friend.

Mrs. Spear was my first grade teacher and I will always remember her at New Hampton Elem. School. She introduced me to the "Good Do Bee" box of little treasures and I will never forget the easter bonnets we made at easter time. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Mrs. Spear was my first grade teacher and inspiration for my becoming a teacher myself. Like great teachers who inspire, she makes me still today a learner and student of life. Thank you, Mrs. Spear, for that lesson.
