Not sure what to say?

To The Steeves Family,

I met Jackie when I was a teacher to her daughters, Holly and Paige, at Wendler Jr. High, and I worked with her as a professional associate while working at the Ad. Bldg. I always found her to be a kind and caring person in my many contacts with her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and dearly loved her family. I am truly sorry to hear of her passing and wish the very best for her family. Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt condolences.

I admired Jackie, both through her work with our Totem organization and her ASD responsibilities. Upon retirement, a group of women retirees enjoyed her calming manner and humor at Anchorage eating establishments. Thank you for sharing her with us!

I will always remember Jackie as the face of Rogers Park Elementary School for many years. As a parent volunteer for both of our children back in the late 80s and part of the 90s, I always enjoyed being greeted by Jackie in the front office. She was so wonderful with all of the parents and the children. I'm sending thoughts and prayers to her family at this difficult time. Thank you, Jackie for your many years of service. Rest In Peace.

Jackie was the first person I met when I began working in ASD in 1983. She was a true professional - knowledgeable and welcoming. But more than that she was a stellar individual - she accepted everyone, despite the many idiosyncrasies that she faced every day. She always had grace, compassion and a wicked sense of humor. My deepest condolences to all her family.

Dear Harry and Steeves Family:
We cannot tell you how sorry we are about the passing of your wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Jackie was our dear friend and colleague and we loved her dearly. We primarily knew her at Rogers Park Elementary and through ASD. She was such a gracious and committed person who believed very strongly in education. Our community is better because of her presence for decades. She will be sorely missed. Thank you, Jackie, for all of your good work in...
