Jacquelyn L. (Mainville) Barthelette, 78, died Sunday May 19th in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Alfred and Bella Mainville and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1964. She was a daycare teacher at Chicopee Child Development Center and also worked with her husband at Vanguard Moving and Storage. Jacquelyn was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and enjoyed her summer home in Randolph, VT. She leaves her husband of 59 years Ronald Barthelette, a son Ronald Jr. of Chicopee, a daughter Christina Lever and her husband Brian of Medford, a daughter-in-law Pamela Barthelette of East Longmeadow and six grandchildren Michael, Taylor, Connor, Devon, Julie, and Joseph.  She was predeceased by her son Keith who passed on August 24, 2021. The funeral will be Friday May 24th at 9:00 am from the O’Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley followed by Mass in St. Patrick’s Church at 10:00 am. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. When Jackie was missing from dialysis for a long time, I realized that something was very wrong. Of course, no one would tell me anything because of patient confidentiality. But I instinctually knew that she had left the bonds of this world. I've known Jackie since I began dialysis in Chicopee and the nurses and technicians called her the mayor of dialysis. I was incredibly lucky to have Jackie as my Sister in law. She was caring and generous to myself, her “baby brother” Roy, and our children, Nick and Monica. Jackie’s genuine warmth, and wonderful personality brought so much happiness to our lives. Her kindness and laughter will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
When I last visited with Jackie, she spoke about her grandchildren with such joy. Her love and pride for each of you was evident, as always.
