Jacquelyn M. Christen

CHRISTEN Jacquelyn M. Christen, age 66, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010. She was a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for 46 years. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Beloved wife of George B. Christen, Mother of George B. Christen, Jr. and Christine E. Christen. Grandmother of Katelynn M. Russell and Katie P. Russell. She was the daughter of the late George R. Murphy and Yolande M. Ortego of Lafayette, La. Sister of George Murphy, Barbara Beutow, Suzie Smith, Molly Spears, Kathleen Meyers, and the late Patrick Murphy and Carline Flattmann all of Lafayette, La. Mrs. Christen worked as a beautician at Westland Beauty Salon in Kenner, La. for many years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, La. on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, 505 Broadmoor Blvd., Lafayette, La., on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette, La. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association preferred.
