HICKS, Jacquelyn L. (Moon) - Of Flint, age 74, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Reverend Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Michigan Masonic Pathways or Shriners Crippled Children. Visitation 4-8PM Sunday, 11AM-3PM and 5-8PM Monday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be conducted by O.E.S. Linden Chapter #175 at 7:30PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Jacquelyn was born in Flint, Michigan on December 2, 1931 to John H. and Lucille (Treat) Moon. She resided in Flint. She spent a great deal of time in Fowlerville and Grayling, Michigan. She graduated from Hoover Schools and attended Eastern Michigan University. She married Harry E. Hicks on September 20, 1952 in Flint, Michigan. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars, Linden Chapter #175, Calvary Community Church and a member of the Masonic Fraternity due to her husband's Harry E. Hicks being the Grand Lecturer Emeritus of the Grand Lodge, F.&A.M. of Michigan. She is survived by her daughter, Martha L. (James) Alexander; three grandchildren, Michele (Scott) Alexander-Warren, Shelbyville, KY, PVT. Thomas E. Lilly of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, PFC. Joseph M. Lilly of Camp Casey, South Korea; one great-grandson, Justin Alexander; sisters-in-law, Ada Hicks of Amboy, WA, Wanda (Reverend Darrell) Milliman and Charlotte Marks; special family Charles and Delores Laney and family; her second mother, Mary Etta Dear; many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Harry; daughter, Lilla F. Lilly; her parents; brother, Ernest Moon; parents-in-law, Harry and Fay Hicks.
