Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to hear of Jackie's passing. I remember when she moved into our neighborhood and I was so thrilled to have someone my own age right next door. She was so talented and so much fun. I had such respect for all the wonderful things she accomplished. She was certainly special and she will be missed. My prayers and thoughts go out your family.

Leslie and family,
We were so sad to hear about your sister. I am glad that I had a chance to meet her and share some family fun.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Ms. Simonds (JA, as we called her) was both my teacher and my academic games coach at Grace King back in the late 70s. She was also someone my friends and I could talk to about anything - an adult who took the time to counsel kids whatever the problem.

I was thrilled when I ran into her some 20 years later volunteering at City Park's Botanical Gardens. She was leading kids in a project and encouraged my daughter to join in. I forget what the project was now, but I remember...

Dear Mr. Lloyd, Leslie, and Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. It was such a shock to hear of Jackie's passing. She was such a bright spot in the neighborhood. She will be greatly missed.

The Monjure Family

I never had Miss Jackie as a teacher, but we did grow close when she was my Academic Games coach at Grace King. We all shared a great time driving around to games and selling chips at lunch to raise money for nationals. She had a good laugh on me when she got me to bring her shaving cream / balloon fight supplies on the bus to Georgia and met us there. She was well armed to defend herself! To the Simonds family - thank you for sharing Miss Jackie with us. I have wonderful memories of crabs...
