Jade Alexis Lozano passed over to eternal life on March 11, 2024. From the day Jade was born on June 12, 2007, she brightened the room with her smile and infectious, loving personality. Though she was small in stature, no task was too big or heavy for Jade to tackle, especially if it meant helping someone who needed assistance.
In her early years, Jade learned to bake from her Nonnie, Kathyrn Davis, and enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking her famous Nieman Marcus cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls, and more. During the holidays and time off from school, she often spent many hours in the kitchen and would shower her family with her baked goods much to their waistline’s chagrin.
Jade loved animals and was never far from her beloved dog, Beanie. She learned to care for the family’s animals with her siblings from their Papa, Steve Davis, and had a way of befriending the toughest animals with her gentle touch. Growing up, Jade competed in the La Salle County Livestock Show and won Grand Champion Breeding Beef Heifer in 2021 and Reserve Champion Steer in 2022.
In High School, Jade joined the Mighty Cowboy Band and enjoyed spending her weekends traveling across Texas competing with her fellow band members. In addition, she was an active member of the National Honor Society Los Jefes Chapter, UIL Academics, and Girls Powerlifting. Jade excelled in school and came by good grades with minimal effort. She took multiple dual-credit classes from Southwest Texas Junior College and was looking forward to continuing her education after graduation.
Jade had a passion for trying new things and looked forward to experiencing new adventures. Her passion was contagious within her family and, as a result, they attended many concerts, Astros games, river trips, and beach trips over the years. During family vacations, Jade would bring the competition and was always eager to win the game at hand - from board games to cards - Jade’s competitive spirit shined through, and she often found herself relishing in a win over her siblings and family.
Though Jade’s time between the “dashes” was short, she lived each moment with love, passion, and an eagerness to fill each day with new experiences. We look forward to the day that we will see her again.
Jade is survived by her grandmother, Kathyrn Davis; parents Kelly Davis and Joe Lozano; siblings Jason (Olivia) Davis, Adrian Davis, and Jasmine Lozano; aunts and uncles Kimberly Davis, Steven Davis, Kevin (Patricia) Davis, and Stephani Davis; great-grandmother Kathyrn Raven; honorary grandmother Barbie Jaloway; and numerous other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Steven “Steve” Davis.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16 at Peters Funeral Home from 10 AM to 12 PM.

What a beautiful soul Jade was! Even though I knew her for a short time (her sophomore year in high school) she left an indelible mark on my heart. Jade would stop by my room at CHS for quick visits always with a smile and friendly greeting. She was such a big help for me during end-of-year activities, volunteering to help with whatever was needed. Jade touched many lives and I was blessed to be one of them. Rest in peace sweet Jade. ✝❤

My sweet Jade! My heart aches for you and I miss you so very much! I pray that you are with Papa now and that you are at peace. Life here on earth will never be the same without you, you are loved and missed by everyone that met you and knew you. You always lit up the room with your beautiful smile and happy go lucky attitude. I will see you again when the good lord calls me home. Until then we are taking good care of your Beanie, and Birdie.
