Dr. Jagat Prakash Sethi

Jagat Prakash Sethi Dr. Jagat P. Sethi, age 80, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer at Brookside Nursing Home in Kenosha, WI. He was born on February 3, 1931 to a distinguished family of freedom fighters and academicians in India. He received his training in Pulmonary Medicine at Scripps Medical Center in LaJolla, CA. He returned to India to a distinguished career in academic medicine retiring as the Dean of University of Rajasthan, India. His engaging wit, sharp mind and an empathetic bedside manor earned him a legion of fans, patients and friends in India. On account of his failing health he moved to Kenosha, WI to be with his son and two daughters and grandchildren. Dr. Sethi is survived by his son, Dr. Ashwani Sethi, of Kenosha, WI and his two daughters Dr. Shaila Singh of Hartland, WI and Mrs. Sonia (Puru) Sareen, of New Jersey. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Nikhil, Vikas, Nisha, Richa, Alisha, Yuvraj, Neil, and Nikita. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Rameshwari Sethi. Dr. Sethi's family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Brookside Nursing Home for the care they provided throughout his stay.
