Not sure what to say?

Jagdish was first a colleague, then my statistics tutor, and most importantly he became my friend and confidant. As I was leaving SWBT in StL for AT&T in NJ my parents gave me a going away party. I clearly remember meeting Ila who had just arrived, shyly meeting my family and friends. I was so pleased to visit Jagdish and Ila over the years on my visits back to StL and see her confidently become a partner and challenge to Jagdish, bringing some of his old world thinking into the modern...

I enjoyed working with Jagdish @ Southwestern Bell. We talked endlessly about statistics, regression analysis, forecasting, family, and culture. I was fortunate to have him in my life.

I'm saddened to hear of Jagdish's death. He and I were great friends working together at Southwestern Bell. He was a mentor and a brother. I regret losing touch when I moved to New Jersey and then Florida but he has always been in my thoughts. Jim Rothweiler
