Jaime Guerra Obituary
Jaime Guerra, age 85, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 6, 2014, at Global Hospice in El Paso.
Born in Fronton, Texas, Mr. Guerra was a Veteran having served in the Air Force from 1947 to 1950. He married the love of his life, Beatriz Casas Guerra, and were married for 55 years, lived and worked in Joliet, Illinois as a construction laborer for the Local 75. He retired and moved to Mission, Texas. Mr. Guerra enjoyed woodcarving, fishing and taking in any casino trips when the opportunity presented itself.
Mr. Guerra is preceded in death by his only son, Ismael J. Guerra.
He is survived by his wife, Beatriz Casas Guerra of Joliet, Illinois; six daughters, Maria Guadalupe Anaya of California, Eufemia (Cipriano) Gurrola-Cordoba, Corina Zamudio, and Libertad (Carlos) Guzman all of Joliet, Illinois, Mercedes (Zeferino) Torres of El Paso, and Adeliza Guerra of Dallas; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitations will begin Thursday, October 9, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary being recited at Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen, Texas. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 10, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church of McAllen. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m., at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen, Texas.
