Not sure what to say?

Kellie, Steve and Liam,

Our family was so saddened to hear about Jake's passing. We never had the opportunity to meet Jake in person (nor Liam), but the outpouring of love confirms what we already knew about him and his great family.

Steve - I appreciate you texting me right away to provide us with the news. Having a 16 year old son ourselves, the news hit home especially hard.

Steve, you know that you were and are my best friend from law school, and Carrie...

Jake was an amazing student, a good friend and a master at making new rules up for our games of Blokus. He had an infectious laugh and enjoyed being a friend to all. We cheered him on as he ran the bases at a 51s game, celebrated his New Orleans roots when he found the baby in the annual king cake and enjoyed him being a part of our family while he lived in Nevada.

Our MHM family will remember Jake as a shining halo of golden curls and joy. Rest easy, Jakey. I love you so much.

Steve,
Sending you and your family our love and healing light from the Gilbert's.
God Bless.
Gary and the Gilbert Family

I am deeply sorry for your loss with great love and prayer for the family, including the Panus Family who I had great memories from when they were my students at Victor.

I will always remember Jake for the way he truly lit up a room. His positive vibes and happiness was so contagious and put a smile on everyone’s face. You could depend on Jake to always have your back and always cheer you up with his sense of humor and positivity. It’s truly a terrible thing someone with such a kind soul was taken from the world. Rest In Peace Jake, you will never ever be forgotten.❤
