James "Jim" Mitchell Overstreet

I worked for Jim on Mids for several years because he was a great sergeant and encouraged pro-active police work. He was always supportive and taught me a a lot in my early years. He will be missed but will always be remembered.

Jim and I were the unlikeliest of friends. He was the tough Merge Cop and I was the dorky Japanese female cop. We worked in adjacent Districts and we´d often meet at the Jack In The Box at Capitol/Alum Rock. His straightforward and unrelenting opinions use to make me laugh.
