Not sure what to say?

Please pardon this tardy response, but my deepest sympathy and condolences to Jim's family and friends. Roger beat me to it with the photo, and he is more steeped in the overall family lore than I. Jim was my favorite cousin, since we were the same age, and shared some of the indignities of teenage life, such as coaches and gym teachers calling us by our last names only. Also recall telling Jim that one of my first serious romantic interests ended because we "broke up." Recognizing the...

I was sorry to hear about my cousin Jim's passing. Jim was my first cousin through his dad's sister ( my mother the only Abbotts daughter ). As cousin Roger says, unfortunately ( except in our youth) as we spread out in all directions, the Albert / Abbotts cousins had limited interaction and few family gatherings similar to Roger's wonderful photograph. As a fellow military veteran, I salute Jim's dedicated service. Regrettably we never had the opportunity to discuss our experiences.

Growing up in Darien I was often asked by teachers and coaches "are you Jim Abbotts's brother ?". I was always proud to say "yes I am". I am still proud. I loved him always and will miss him very much. [email protected] Chapel Hill, NC

Good guy and a good wife!! Both High School friends!! Lots of Respect for you Jim!!!

My Brother.

Rest in peace, old friend. I remember well all of our pickup basketball games, and other "escapades" dating back to middle school. You'll be missed!

Jim was a cousin through his Dad and my Dad. We grew up in NJ while Jim and Bill grew up in CT. We lost contact for various reasons (deaths in the family, moving residences, etc) Just wanted to pass on condolences to those left behind and I have fond memoires of those family gatherings at 2197 Pennington Road and a few times in Darien. Sorry we didn't...

Cousin. You will be missed by all of us
