James passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017. James was a resident of Burlington, North Carolina at the time of his passing. Phil graduated from Pleasant Grove High and attended Elon College. He served in the United States Army National Guard. He was married to Helen Keck Aldridge. A funeral service will be held at Union Ridge Church on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM by Rev. Dan Ficklin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. At other times they will be at the residence. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how difficult the loss of a loved one can be. I pray that you take comfort in your friends and family and that God gives you the strength needed to get through this difficult time. God invites us to draw close to him in James chapter 4 verse 8.

Phil raised many young men in Troop #53 and I'll always be grateful for his influence on me during my youth. May his family find comfort in the many cherished memories you have as you celebrate the life of a wonderful man.
