Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary Lou and family,

I just saw Lowell at Rivermont and he informed me of Jimmy's death. He told me of Jimmy's trip to Lynchburg and their wonderful fellowship over lunch. I shared memories of Friday night Bible studies at your house, and fellowship with popcorn and lemonade after Sunday evening services. I remember visiting you in Petersburg and hearing, not "Is he saved?" but "Is he Reformed?" I didn't even understand the question!

Paul & I loved having Jimmy...

Mary Lou,
As you know, Jimmy and I were neighbors when we were at Snowden and actually until the 11th grade at Central. He was always such a nice guy. Imagine my surprise when his brother married my sister and they had many happy years together.
Seeing Jimmy and you later was special to Bob and me and we thoroughly enjoyed being around you two. He was certainly God's man and we both admired him for that. They are probably up in heaven getting aquainted again.
My love and...

Mary Lou and family, I know your hearts are broken. You've lost your best friend, your husband and your life long companion. I can still see Jimmy's smiling face and hear his voice calling your name as only he could. I was so happy to see him when I was at the wellness center. I can still hear him say "Good to see you Sugar. Tell your daddy I said hi!" Being blessed to have you and Jimmy as my neighbors for so many years was a joy. I know we don't see each other often but you all are...

"Uncle Jimmy loved the Lord and was never shy about sharing Jesus, whether words of encouragement or words of the gospel. He loved to laugh, loved his family, and treasured his sweetheart Mary Lou. They loved family and loved to laugh! We can hear him laughing! We'll see you again and rejoice together!" Much Love, Pat and Laura

Mary Lou and Family. We will always remember Jim's comforting smiling comments when we arrived a day late for his 50th anniversary party..."Have you come to help us clean-up? Have we any cake left?"
The PRMC will miss Jim both on and off the golf course. Fondly -

Bill & Helen Garrett, Norfolk, VA

I enjoyed knowing Jim and enjoyed his pleasant manners and nature. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed. I just met him several years ago through the PRMC golf group, and he was a true gentleman. He helped me with a bible study class I was asked to teach. I wish you all peace and sympathy.
