Losing Jimmy Alley is like having a library burn down. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Iredell County and especially his beloved home town of Troutman. Iredell County is indepted to Jimmy for the three books he published, his research, and his efforts to preserve Iredell County history. I miss talking to him here at the library already.
