Not sure what to say?

This message is to Jim's family, I remember Jim as a vibrant, strong but run silent run low character. Didn't fool me for second. He was as competitive as I was. First place or no place! I'm certain God has him coaching in the upper leagues. I just hope he can offer me a place on the team!

I was very saddened to see this recently. I knew JImmy going back from junior high days. He was a noted athlete in the New Hyde Park area, but also the nicest, most unassuming guy anyone could meet. Over the years we would reconnect, usually at New Hyde Park Memorial reunions even though he went to Chaminade. He just had more friends in NHP and his roots were there. I will think of him and his gentlemanly manner as long as I live. So sad.

Mr Allocco, Shine done on all of us who loved and cared for you. You were a super inspiration as my wrestling coach, and a real down to earth friendly human being. God bless your family, and I pray that all are well. John Sottile, Farrell class of `72

It's sincerely heart felt that I recall Jim as a good freind and no finer Gentleman then he. Jim and I were regular gym rats at the YMCA and I also enjoyed golfing with him from time to time. We also shared stories, strategies and appreciation as Coaches of some incredible student athletes. God bless him.

I was Jim’s lacrosse coach at Nassau Community College for two years. He had never played before but it became his passion. He was the kind of person coaches dream about. Gave 100% everyday. A wonderful person.

I worked with Jim for many years at On Your Mark. He was a dedicated advocate to the individuals we provided services to. He was a gentle man who had much love and compassion for the work he did. I worked at On Your Mark from 1992 to 1999 when I was fresh out of college and he was always avaliable to assist me with any questions or concerns I had. Rest in peace, Jim.

At Chaminade our four-year homerooms were organized alphabetically, which militated against an everyday close relationship with Jim, but my somewhat hazy recollection sees a guy small in stature but huge in heart and with a smile and a laugh ALL THE TIME.

James and I were in the same homeroom at Chaminade. I remember him well - very good athlete and an all-around 'good guy'. Bless you, Jim.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Jim´s passing. I worked with Jim for many years at On Your Mark and he was really an amazing man. He had such a kind and genuine heart to everyone in the OYM community. Jim always showed compassion, concern and interest for everyone and their happiness and well being. I fondly remember him, his smile, youthful energy and good nature.I will always appreciate the conversations and kindness he showed to me all the years I worked there. He was a great man who...
