Jim was a grate athlete like my brother so meny grate athletes die so young in life .Jim all was a grate person to talk to on the football field in high school he never let his ego of being a star override the person he really was you always could talk to him it's always interested and listening he will be missed

Thoughts and Prayers to the Amidon family. Many terrific memories with Jim as a teammate and as a friend. He will never be forgotten.

Sue, Amanda and Cory, we are so sorry to hear of Jims passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers and have our deepest sympathy.

Jimmy and I were teammates at King Philip in basketball and baseball, and given I was two years his junior, I always looked up to him and admired his talent as an athlete, and especially as a leader. Jim coached me up almost as much as our actual coaches did. Too bad for me he couldn´t teach me how to make consistent contact with the baseball when I swung the bat! Jimmy was a good man. I´m glad I knew him.

My most sincere condolences to Jim's family and friends. I enjoyed writing about his athletic career at King Philip for The Sun Chronicle, and will continue to embrace those memories fondly.
