Not sure what to say?

As a member of the Class of 1972,Mr. Amon's classroom was always one that I looked forward to being in. Educators do not come more meek ,humble or patient. How many of you remember the story of his meticulously preparing glassware for a procedure.......only to drop it before he had the chance to use it ?
I see from the comments of other students that he is fondly remembered .

my second dad- you will be missed. thanks for everything you did for me over the years!

I had Mr. Amon for homeroom, he tolerated us as high school students with endless patience. He truly was a wonderful man. God Bless him and his family. Praying for you all.

Mr Amon was a wonderful teacher! He always made class fun and interesting! Its hard to believe it has been 19 years since I was a student at SRHS, but Mr Amon is one of the teachers that I remember the most!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!

Mr. Amon was a wonderful teacher and mentor who would teach an entire Chemistry II course with only three students enrolled. His kindness and the lessons he taught will always be a part of us

Jim's class was my favorite. He was always very helpful, kind, and patient. My love and prayers to his family. The memory of his smile will always be a comfort to us all.

Mr. Amon was my Chemistry teacher many moons ago. I will always remember his gentle spirit and infinite patience. God Bless.

Mr. Amon (after all these years, he is still Mr. Amon to me) instilled in me a love of science and chemistry that has stood the test of time. His also was the high bar to which other teachers have been held. Thank you...
