Sorry to hear of the passing of Doc as we in the Croley family called him. I have fond memories of the fourth of July cookouts at his small farm in Clayton. He was a very knowelegable and generous person and I have him to thank for helping me to decide on the career path of dental hygiene. Rest in peace Doc. Prayers to his family.

Many years ago I worked as a medical transcriptionist at Good Samaritan Hospital and came to know Dr. Appleton, who worked as an anesthesiologist at that time. Most surgeons, anesthesiologists and even some nurses never bothered to know the folks who worked for Medical Records. But Dr. Appleton was the exception. He was friendly and interested, treated us as peers. I have always had fond memories of him.
