James Archer Obituary

Archer, James Duncan
James Duncan Archer, age 32, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Madison, CT on Saturday, March 24, 2018. He was born in New Haven, CT on February 14, 1986, the beloved son of Ann Ferguson Archer and Garry Archer. James graduated from Daniel Hand High School in 2004 and attended the University of Vermont and Middlesex Community College. While at Daniel Hand High School, he was a singer for four years with the Waes Hael Madrigal Singers, an elite "a cappella" singing group. James had deep interests in many things but especially loved music, movies, comedy and reading a wide range of literature from comic book graphic novels to ancient and modern history and philosophy. He greatly loved animals, especially dogs, and was an avid supporter of the New England Patriots. Conversant in many subjects ranging from topical issues of the day all the way to the meaning of life, he enjoyed engaging others in discussion and debate and was very inquisitive by nature. Besides his many friends, James leaves his parents Ann and Garry Archer of Madison, CT and his younger brother Andrew Archer of Greenville, NC. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins in the United States and England. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Dana Ferguson of Cheshire, CT and his paternal grandparents James and Barbara Archer of Woodville, Derbyshire, England. A kind, intelligent and empathetic soul with a wonderful wit and an infectious laugh, James was much loved by his family and friends who will miss him forever. A memorial service to celebrate James' life will be held at the First Congregational Church of Madison (on the green), 26 Meeting House Lane, Madison, CT on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Memorial Garden of the First Congregational Church of Madison at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in James' name may be made to NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, online at www.nami.org, or by mail to NAMI Connecticut , 576 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105, or to the Daniel Cosgrove Animal Shelter, 749 East Main Street, Branford, CT 06405.

James,
I miss you so much, it's been hard these years without you.
I love you and there's not a single minute where I don't think about you and have a laugh or say to myself "James would laugh at that!"
Love you brother.
Miss you so much

James, I think of you everyday. Sometimes I see passing lights in our sky (not airplanes), meteors or falling stars- I know that you're up there and traveling and gathering so much knowledge! I love you and I miss you so much.
