Not sure what to say?

Major Jim Ary was a fine man, great family man, neighbor, helper (physically as well as advisor) neighborhood party participant. Excellent Scout Master who was instrumental in encouraging and ensuring that our three sons became Eagle Scouts. Our lives were enchanced by having known Jim.
Our condolences to all of the family.

Major Jim Ary had a profound impact on my life. Not only was he an outstanding Scoutmaster and mentor, but he was my second father. Maj kept me on the right trail while my father was in Vietnam. Not only was he responsible for my becoming an Eagle Scout; but the love of scouting he instilled in me was passed on to my son. So Jim is responsible in no small way for my son and his three best friends all developing the same love of scouting and all becoming Eagle Scouts too. My condolences go...

My condolences to the Ary family on the loss of a man that I knew as my Scoutmaster. Major Jim Ary helped me become an Eagle Scout in 1969. The values he helped instill in me have guided my life, and the fun we had in Boy Scouts and the things I learned have stayed with me through the years. In part because of his devotion to BSA, I have two sons that are Eagle Scouts, and I have continued to volunteer as an adult Scouter. "Maj," - thanks.

Major Ary (the Maj -- as he was affectionately known) was a Great Man! His guidance was a major factor in the lives of the boys in his Scout Troop -- in Mt. Vernon, Virginia. He produced more EAGLE SCOUTS, in a relatively short span of time, than any other Scout-master (I believe). He was an influence for Good -- he made his mark!! ~ JCF

I offer tribute to Major James Ary for his contribution to my brothers and me in our quest for all three of us to become Eagle Scouts over 35 years ago and enabling us to be better citizens and leaders in our families, community and nation. I offer prayers of thanksgiving for "Maj;" and prayers of condolence for his family sending my heartfelt thanks and honor for your sharing of your husband and father's time with all of us.
