James ASBELL Obituary

ASBELL, James William 12/14-1931 - 2/4/2018 Born in Paterson, N.J. to Herbert K. and Denise M. Asbell. James earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in education and served four years in the US Air Force. He was a teacher, coach and athletic director beginning at Asbury Park, NJ and ending at Forrestdale School in Rumson, NJ retiring in 1993 after 35 years of service. That same year he moved to Tucson, AZ. Enjoyed golfing, attending U of A sports events and was a volunteer official for UA Track and Field meets. Jim is survived by daughter, Kristene; granddaughter, Kahlia; step-son and wife, Michael and Stephanie Page. Also, nephews, Bob and Richard Asbell; Doug Macko; and niece, Rhonda Manganiello. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at Desert Skies United Methodist Church. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, Please make donations to Alzheimer's Research Fund.

I was the art teacher at the Forestdale school and Jim was one of the nicest and kindest person I have ever known.A dear friend school in Rumson,NJ He never forgot to send a Christmas card to keep in touch
