Not sure what to say?

The best boss I ever had.

Every time I see Jim's picture it brings back great memories. I hope he is saving a tee time for me.

When Jim's face appeared in this morning's emails, I was instantly taken back to the "Golden Age of Publishing" we were all so fortunate to be part of. Within a group of amazingly talented and memorable individuals at Penton, Jim was unique. As my memories grow older, Jim grows larger in them, because he was larger than life. How blindingly lucky I was to have worked with, and known, Jim Atherton.

ill Freeman and I were remembering Jim the other day, talking about his first trip to Singapore with us. One of the best business trips I ever had. Jim was a great boss and most important, a great person.

I really liked Jim. He was a mentor to me after I became a Publisher at Penton. I will always have great memories of Jim.

Lora, my sincere sympathy goes out to you and your family.
Kathy and Carli Kausek

Our condolences to Lora, Lisa , Adam and Charlotte.

Jim, was the finest boss I ever had the pleasure to work for. He was stern, demanding but most of all supportive. Jim earned everyone's respect because he treated people the way he wanted to be treated, with dignity. Never forget his favorite saying "Do you think I just fell off a turnip truck" heard that a lot during budget reviews. He will be missed! Nancy our prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

May the God Comfort be with this family.
