JAMES B. SCHRAM, DDS, age 88, beloved husband of 64 years to Shirley M. (nee Brickman); entered into eternal rest surrounded by his family on July 14, 2021. Loving father of Lynn Aprile (Kevin), Lee (Carole), Lori Burke (deceased) (Bob), Lisa Fagan (Mark), and Larry (Carey); proud grandfather of 10; son of the late Gertrude (nee Tatro) and Louis Schram; beloved brother of Joseph Schram (Anne) (both deceased), Robert Schram (Doris) (both deceased), Margaret Mary Priore (deceased) (Vincent), and William Schram (Sue) (both deceased); loving uncle and friend of many. Jim graduated from St. Ignatius High School, University of Detroit, and Loyola University Chicago. Jim was a dentist in the Navy then North Royalton and Fairview Park for 36 years. Jim was very committed to St. Bernadette Parish as an altar server, lay distributor, youth basketball coach, and athletic director. Jim simply loved playing and watching anything Cleveland sports. One of the highlights of his life was being enshrined in the St. Ignatius High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Jim loved to tinker around his home and lake house often completing “ten-minute” projects. He also loved playing golf with his many buddies, was involved with Habitat for Humanity, and regularly visited Holy Family Hospice to pray the rosary with his friends. Jim will be remembered as a calm, great family man and friend to many; for valuing a good education, strong faith, hard work, discipline, and giving back through service to others. Funeral Mass Monday, July 19, 2021, St. Bernadette Church (2256 Clague Road, Westlake, OH 44145) at 10 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
