James Bulan Baker, 67, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home. Born March 6, 1952 in Garrard County, KY, James was the son of the late John Henry Baker and Cora Katherine (Bolton) Johnson.


Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Baker and two siblings, Johnetta Perkins and Millard Andrew Baker.


A former carpenter, James enjoyed camping, dancing, karaoke, drawing and spending time with his family. He loved riding his Trike motorcycle, and along with his wife participated in numerous Poker Runs for veterans, animal shelters, and for children’s causes.


James is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rosiland (Marshall) Baker, three children, Olson McMurray of Dry Ridge, James McMurray of Lawrenceburg, and Shannon Baker Coleman of Frankfort; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Wanda Spicer and Tina Durr and husband Billy, both of Lawrenceburg.


Cremation was chosen. A Celebration of Jame's Life will be held Sunday, June 23rd beginning at 3:00 pm at the New Life Christian Fellowship, 1028 Industry Road, Lawrenceburg, KY.
