James Patrick Ball, 72, passed away July 3, 2022. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Cretu); Loving father of James Patrick Ball Jr (deceased) and Michelle Farmer (Geno, deceased); Cherished grandfather of Geno Farmer (Tabby), Jessica Farmer, James Patrick Ball III, and Tiffany Ball; Great-grandfather of Geno Farmer Jr and James Patrick Ball IV; Loving brother of Pat Holryds (Cliff), Walter Ball (Bernice)(both deceased), Thelma Comer (deceased) and Robert Ball (deceased)(Chris); Son of the late Walter and Alice Ball (nee Devine); Dear uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.
James was a generous and trusted friend to many. He loved and cared for many animals. Jim was a champion in every sport that he played: golf, darts, billiards and bowling where he rolled a 300 game. Music was a passion and everyone enjoyed his beautiful voice. Jim was a master mechanic and was able to figure out and fix just about anything.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until closing services at 5:00 p.m. at Fortuna Funeral Home, 7076 Brecksville Road, Independence, Ohio 44131. Interment private.

i am so sorry to hear of your passing and equally disappointed i missed your wake. you were one of the first bowlers i met back in the Southeast Traveling League back in 1984. easy to talk to, lots of interests and just the picture of health, strength and confidence. over the years, you never changed your demeanor...it was always a pleasure to both know/bowl with you. please be in peace up in heaven and say hello to Bob-your brother
