Not sure what to say?

Jimmy was always kind, compassionate, professional, and all of his patients and colleagues valued his expertise, bedside manner and friendship! He and I became close friends when we worked at Medical College (MUSC) and at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Charleston SC. He was a valued member and asset to both hospitals. He was an excellent Resident and Attending Physician! Miss him! Cindy Jones Norris❤

This just happened to pop up on my phone. Maybe because he died in May and a reminder of the gold star thoracic surgeon and as many have commented was a kind , gentle , compassionate spirit! What a legacy! This proves that surgeons can be kind and caring and Jimmy was such a role model for all.

Just happened to see this July 17,2022! Jimmy and worked together At MUSC in 1970-1972 and at the Veteran´s Administration Medical Center in Charleston. He was a very dear friend and an excellent surgeon! What a great loss! So sorry I missed this earlier! We had some good memories working on 5 East. Such a kind, compassionate, professional man and surgeon!

I was simply an employee for judy and Dr Ballenger. Dr Ballenger sat at the bar with chad and myself, always a pleasure. Judy her daughter a family affair. Its been 20 years. I left Charleston for Connecticut. Dr Ballenger rest in peace. Judy much love.

So sorry to hear this bad news , it hurts me so deeply , he was a very close friend and teacher

I was a young nurse at Greenville General Hospital when he was doing his residency. I looked up to him for guidance in patient care. He was a true professional. So sorry to hear of his death.

I grew up in Easley and was fortunate to know Jimmy Terry and Otis and have just learned of Jimmy's death. Terry was our football manager, Jimmy and I played football and had several classes together and Otis had a condo at Pawleys Island as I do. I was not aware of Jimmy's contribution to panic disorders but would be interested to know if there is written studies that he compiled on this subject as it affects so many of my friends and clients. My sincere sympathy in your loss of this kind...

So sorry to hear of Jimmy B's passing. He was dear friend and encourager to me for years years since 1993 where I started at GMH as a CST and later a nurse, supervisor and Manager. Rest In Peace my dear friend!
