James "Skip" Balzer, 77, Bismarck, passed away Oct. 12, 2021, in a Bismarck hospital. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at Pro-Cathedral of St. Mary. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

I just want to express my deepest sympathy to Elaine and the children of Skip, along with all family members. I was a part of the Balzer family for many years of my life, having his sister Mary as my best friend, so I got to know them all. It was my home away from home. I just remember Skip always being a fun and happy man.
