On behalf of all classmates from the Tiffin Columbian class of 1960. Our deepest condolences to Kathy and the rest of the family. We will all miss him deeply.

We lost a great man of God, I remember when he attended NTC in Wisconsin, I was his patrol advisor and so the friendship began between us, Jim has affected so many lives men, boys, families and will leave a huge hole in the Royal Rangers ministry. now your with two of your mentors in Heaven Johnny and Fred. RIP friend

Jim was a wonderful friend and mentor to the Rangers in Wisconsin and Northern Michigan

We are so blessed that we were able to meet Mr. Barger at the wedding of his beloved grandson Harrison to our cousin Ashleigh. We will always remember is huge smile, the humor he shared with us, and the love and affection he felt for Harrison and Ashleigh.

Jim had a special place in my heart after we became friends 3 years after my NTC experience from him. We laughed many time about that. I also had the honor of serving on many NTC staffs with him throughout our region. I will be praying for the whole family for the peace that only come through Jesus.

Wow! I cannot believe this world lost another patriot and spiritual mentor to hundreds. Jim was a man's man and had more passion than a hundred people combined. I am sad that I can't be at the funeral, so I offer my condolences now to the whole Barger family. Jim is in the hands of Jesus now getting his crown. His legacy will affect generations. God rest his soul, and may we all recognize God's plan in all of this. We love you Jim Sr. !!
