Not sure what to say?

He was a great judge. Down to earth. The genuine article. I knew him from a "court-clergy" conference we had at Fuller Seminary. I corresponded with him afterwards. I don't know what happened after he retired. I heard something in the news, but if anything, I assume the best. May he rest-in-peace in a better place forever.

I knew Jim in the early 1960's and knew he had great potential for success in anything he did. So sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to his sisters, Sandy and Linda.

I knew James A Bascue when he was chief Trial Counsel at State Bar of Ca. I was a paralegal with the state bar client security fund at the time. The state bar disciplinary system was going through a transition. Mr Bascue in a professional and gentlemanly manner. Was responsible to a large degree in insuring the transition went smoothly. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

I was a relatively new prosecutor at the State Bar when Mr. Bascue became the first Chief Trual Counsel after a major restructuring. He inherited a behemoth job and was skilled in negotiating its vagaries. He worked hard in his life and what I will remember him for were his accomplishments May he rest in the peace of God's comforting Hands.
