To the Bateman Family, You have my deepest sympathy. Because we share a daughter, our relationship was special. I am happy I had a chance to speak with him before he passed. For his and my daughter, Cheryl, just know that he is in a better place now and that he loved you deeply. Jimmie had a knack to make everybody laugh and will be sorely missed.

I am happy that I was able to speak Jimmy a couple of weeks ago. Our relationship go back to 1959. Since Jimmy and I share a daughter, the relationship was special. My deepest sympathy and regards go out to his family. My family all remember Jimmy fondly. He was always able to make everyone laugh.
