Not sure what to say?

Mr. Beam's name up yesterday on a facebook page, "You know you're from Sugar Land if you remember...." Someone mentioned some of their favorite teachers and of course Mr. Beam is always at the top of the list! I have such fond memories of Mr. Beam as I was in Student Council for all four years of HS and Cheerleading for two. He even chaperoned our senior trip to Cancun in spring 1990! Mr. Beam was well liked and respected by all of us at both CHS and KHS! He is definitely missed.

I can't believe it has been a year already since you left me. It doesn't feel that long. I still find myself wanting to call you since I haven't deleted your phone number from my phone. I miss you terribly and can get by knowing you are looking down on me and helping me do the right thing. I love you and until we meet again.
Your loving sister,
Claudia

You could always count on Jim to do the right thing at the right time.

I sure do miss you Jimmy. I made this website for all your friends to visit and remember you by. I love you and miss you.
Claudia

May you bring as much joy in Heaven as you did at Kempner High School.

Jimmy, we went back far...to the days of Temple High School where we met and became friends. Remember the trips to Six Flags with March of Dimes TAPS Group?! I remember driving to Spring to visit you after you moved away. My mom epspecially enjoyed her visits with you when you would came back to Temple. Thank You for saving my life when we where in Hawaii...I tell that story often! You were my first love and though I only knew the boy...it sounds like Mr. Beam was a pretty special man. Mrs....

We are saddened by Beam's death. To Beam's family, we are better because he has touched our lives.

Beam's contributions to students are immeasurable as he was a very integral part of Texas Student Council, especially District XIII.

You are a bright "Beam" of light. You gave so heartily and exuberantly your time and talents to so many.

Thanks for making a difference in Phillip's life. Your legacy will live on in him and in all the students that you have molded as a...

Well Beam, you've gone on ahead of the rest of us, but you've left so much behind for us all to cherish. It was truly a pleasure and honor to have known you as a co-worker and friend at Kempner. Your spirit was so bright, it was hard NOT to notice your honesty and purpose. God Bless and keep you James Grant Beam.

Mr. Beam was one of those teachers that you have in life that you never forget. He always had his students best in mind. He was always concerned for us, and he was an example to us all. I was lucky to have Mr. Beam not only for History/ Economics at Kempner High School, but he was also my PALS Mentor for the '96-'97 & '97-'98 school years. I never had the opportunity to thank him for the impact he made in my life. I wish I had. I am the person I am today because of Mr. Beam. He taught me life...
