Camp Christopher 1983

From 1979-1984 I was blessed to be in ministry with Fr. Beatty at St. Mary Parish, Elyria. He was friendly, fun, and always willing to celebrate liturgies with our PSR children, even coming to Camp Christopher with us. His liturgies were prayerful and his homilies so insightful. I cherish my memories of our time together at St. Mary's. Thank you for gifting so many with your spirituality and zest for life, Fr. Jim. Now enjoy eternal life to the fullest!

Jimmy came to Shore Acres in Vermont in 2017 and 2018. He had every intention of coming last year but his cancer stopped his travels. Jimmy came to Shore Acres "incognito." He booked for a week each time and last year booked for even longer. We all grew to love him and were pretty mortified when we found out he was a priest and we were calling him just "Jimmy".

A great man and priest my moms best friend son. We spent a lot of time at their house growing up loved his trains. He will be missed.

Father Beatty helped our family when we lost our son to suicide. He was caring, compassionate, and a beacon of light during a dark time in our lives. It was a blessing to have known him.

I was lucky enough to know Father during his time at Holy Spirit, a wonderful person and a gifted priest. God bless Father Jim , you are missed.

Dear Alice,
So sorry for your loss.
Kind regards,
Cathy & Ken

Father Beatty was a very important figure in my life. I took one on one instruction from him when I joined the Church. He was at St. Lukes in Lakewood.

His kindness and sharing of his faith was my welcome into the Catholic Church.

Our prayers are with Jim's family and parish family!

Father Beatty you were an awesome priest and will be sadly missed! Praying for his family.

Wishing dear Father James an Eternity of Peace and Joy! Prayers for comfort and fond memories for his family and dear friends.
