Not sure what to say?

This guy was a great guy. He always took time to help me with general questions I had. I just heard the news today and this is really sad. My regards to his friends and family.

My husband and I met Jim back in the 70's. We didn't have any money, and we needed an attorney to help us with a lemon of a car we bought. He not only personally went into the car dealership and made sure we got a good car, but he didn't charge us a dime for it. Although we haven't seen him since that time, we have always told the story about the "wonderful and kind attorney who had compassion on a young couple with no money". We are so saddened to hear of his passing and offer our sincere...

Charlotte - Our condolences to you and your family. We didn't get to know Jim as well as we would have liked, but what a wonderful couple you made. We sent a copy of the obituary to Woody Carco in Mississippi in case he hadn't heard. He and Joan loved you both dearly. Just know you and family are in all our thoughts and prayers at this time.

During the 18+ years that I've known Jim, he was always a vibrant and fun man to talk to...always full of information. He will be missed by his friends at DRE...my deepest condolences to his family. (Jen Borromeo, San Diego District Office)

I worked with Jim at the Dept. of Real Estate from 2005 to 2009. Jim had a verve for life and for conversation, and I always enjoyed talking to him and came away from the conversation enriched in knowledge. He was a kindred spirit, in a way...the only person I've ever met outside of academia who not only knew the Prologue to the Canterbury Tales, but recited it one day -- on the spot and in Middle English -- with me! I, along with a multitude of others, will miss him dearly. My thoughts...

I am so deeply sadden by the loss of Jim. He was a very kind and gentle man. I know he so loved his family and especially Olivia and Marie. Char my heart just aches for you and your grief. My prayers go out to you and the family at this very sad time. I am blessed to have known Jim or as I called him "Bud".
RIP my friend.

A very kind man who will be missed by all. Our love and prayers are with you.

I will always love you.

I had the privilege of working with Jim at the DRE and later being an attorney who appeared in court opposite him. He was a great guy and a gentleman. We were friends and would trade small gifts with each other when we went on vacation. I would sent him caps from where I had been and he would send me T-Shirts. I will miss him. Please extend my condolences to his family.
