Sammie I am so sorry to hear about James. He was one of my closest child- hood friends. Our parents and another couple married at the same time at a small cemetary north of Ben Wheeler. I am about six months older than James. God Bless you and the family.

Dear Sammie and family, My sincere condolences to you and your family. We now live in Baton Rouge, LA to be near Greg. James was one of my best friends growing up, because we were so close together in age. Harold Shaw, was a little older and James a little younger than me. I know he will be sorely missed by his family and thought of often by all of us. Take care of yourself, and would love to hear from you when you feel up to it. PS I sent an earliermessage but not sure I...

Hello to my long lost family in West Texas. I am so sorry for your loss. I am Greg Edwards' (see below) little sister so that makes Bernice Julia Austin my Big Mama, too. I remember Aunt Jewel. She was so sweet; unfortunately I never got to meet any of her children. Greg and I spent a lot of time in Ben Wheeler as children, but I guess our visits never coincided with any of Aunt Jewel's family's visits. I wish you peace in this time of grief.
Love, your (third, fourth?) cousin, Vanda...

To Sammie and family, I'm so sorry to hear about James. He and I and Harold Shaw grew up together and went to school together. Aunt Jewel was the love of my life when I was growing up, she sewed for me and I loved her for that. My son was 6 mo. old when Bobby died and I rode the bus to Ben Wheeler to go to the funeral. When Dady picked me up and took me home they were all in the storm house. It was May l949. I guess I am the only one of my family that never got to come to...

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of our dear cousin James . May God give you strength and courage in this time of sorrow. We will keep you and your family in our prayers . I regret that we did not know of his passing sooner , we could have come there and attended the service. James was a fine man and we will all miss him dearly. We can have comfort now that his home now is with his savior. Proverbs 3: 5-6
