Not sure what to say?

Dr. Bell delivered me in 1970 at St. Mary´s and 35 years later, in 2005, he assisted in the delivery of my daughter via c-section at Long Beach Memorial. He was so kind and provided much comfort to my mom who was so relieved he would be the OR with me after laboring for 32 hours. She trusted him and knew all would be ok. I will never forget him and will be forever grateful to him for bringing my daughter into this world safely.

Dr. Bell delivered my daughter in 1984. He was amazingly encouraging, gifted in his field, and very supportive. My husband and I moved away from Long Beach to live near our daughter, 2 grandchildren, and son-in-law. I was having a reflective moment about doctors from my past and thought of him with great appreciation, so I googled him. God bless his family.

I met Mr Bell through their grandsons Parker and Zach’s Scout Troop. He and Mrs Bell were at every event. It was very evident how proud he was of the boys. He also made it clear how proud he was of Gary and Angie in their volunteer work with the Troop. He just beamed.

He and Mrs Bell were quite the celebrities at Troop events. Complete strangers, myself included, would come up to him to chat. It didn’t matter that he didn’t know who you were he was lovely and charming and...

My sympathies and prayers are with all the Bell families. I was shocked to read about Jim's passing. I will forever miss his kindness and smiling face. RIP Jim. LOVE TO YOU ALL.

I worked for Dr's. Sydney Willner, James H. Bell, Lawrence Perrin and Marshall Hall, M.D.s, OB/GYNs'. I remember Dr. James H. Bell being such a great physician to work for. He was always kind to his staff and patients.
Dr. Bell always said how much he loved taking his family places in their RV, especially the Rose Parade every year. He made us all laugh, when he went on a carrot eating binge to control his weight. He ate so many carrots, that his skin turned orange in color.

Dr. Bell it was always a pleasure to work along side of you. Your compassion and kindness to your patient and the staff didn't go unnoticed. Your Christmas blazers are a fond memory for many. Rest now, you have earned your Angel wings and place in heaven.

I worked with Dr. Bell for 18 years at Long Beach Memorial. He truly cared about his patients and he always had a new joke to tell us every morning. My condolences to his family.

Doc was like a father to me and our mutual friends from high school. I remember coming to the house on a Friday or Saturday night, and he could often be found in the office ready with a great joke and a big warm smile. I will miss you, Doc, and I hope to give Ma Bell and big hug and try not to cry. God bless you all, Bell Family!
