Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of serving with SSgt Bent in Bessemer, AL. The news of SSgt Bent's untimely death has been hard for me to except because he was a great Marine, friend, husband, and father. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Bent family and friends.

Just being around Jim meant good times. Not only was he a great Marine, but an awesome person. He was part of everything fun for me at I & I Bessemer from the Marine things to Flag football and pitching horse shoes in my backyard. May God bless you Jimmy Bent. You'll be sorely missed!!

To Wendy,

Kim and My prayers are with you. We appreciate and won't forget our visit to the Bent home. We're thinkin' about you and God Bless!!

I served about a year and a half with SSgt James Edward Bent IV. He a true inspiration to me because he not only was an outstanding Marine, but he was also a role model. He was confident in everything he did and gave extra effort in whatever he was tasked to complete. If there was anything he needed from me I made sure that he received it in a timely manner. I did that just because unlike some of the Marines at our unit, he was one of those who took care of you and kept his word on everything...

Jimmy was a good friend. He will be missed. God bless all who have felt this loss.

Jimmy you will be missed. Wendy my prayers go out to you and your family.

I served for 3 years with Jimmy. He will me missed and always rembered.

Jimmy had such a wonderful smile and he had the most contagious laugh. I am not sure how I can continue without "the small things". Jimmy was my best friend and my husband. It is very difficult to lose both at the same time. I know that I have to take another step to make it to the next day but in the past 5 days I have realized how difficult the steps are to make without him. He was the constant in my life that helped me keep it running. I know now that he has a greater task at hand and that...

Our staff and community would like to express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Jimmy was an amazing resident and we will miss him dearly. Our thoughts are with your family.
