James Berger passed away on January 22, 2015 in San Diego, California. The obituary was featured in San Diego Union-Tribune on January 24, 2015.
So sad to hear about Mr. Berger. He was a well-liked faculty member by the students (and that's saying a lot!). My sympathies to his family.
