My deepest sympathy to your family. Not having facebook, I just learned of Jim's passing from a friend. I grew up with Jim and Judy in their Roosevelt Park neighborhood. They and their parents were a wonderful and welcoming family, whom I will always remember. After graduating HS we all lost touch. Again, my sympathies for your loss.

To the Bird Family, I worked with Mr. James Bird and now his son at E. C. Brooks Correctional Facility at he was a Great person to be around and talk to on a daily basis here at the prison. He had a lot of knowledge and patience while caring for the people he was around. I know he loved his family and use to volunteer for the Band at his son's school. Our Condolences goes out to the Bird family as James will be truly missed. The Shackleford Family. God Bless!

I really did enjoy seeing Jim on my visits after you moved to your new house. I was always amazed at how much work he put into it in the short time he lived there. I will miss his delicious cookies. Love to whole family.
