BISHOP, James Thomas "Tommy" Jr., 44, of Louisa County, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Louisa Health and Rehab. Tommy was the son of Jim and Julia Bishop. He loved all sports and this joy helped him through many good days and difficult times. His favorites were the Washington Redskins and the Atlanta Braves. Special appreciation to Louisa Health Care Center and Martha Jefferson Hospital. During the very difficult times prior to his death, Tommy appreciated the support of Central United Methodist Church. Tommy always welcomed the visits of Pastor Tom Sweat. Tommy would want to show his appreciation for his long time friends and supporters, Sharon and Allen Hultman, as well as Kathy Bishop who helped brighten his days during the final stages of his life. Why is it that when you have been looking for someone for a very long time, You find them in the place you don't want to find them. Tommy! Oh MY, Kyle and I are in shock to say the least. Kyle has been looking for you for a very very long time and Mrs Bishop we are very sorry to hear of the passing of Tommy. My best memories of Tommy was about 20 ish years ago, I lived beside Kyle on Jeff Davis Hwy in the apts and Kyle got a call from Tommy and he said he wanted to come over...well here pulls...

Tommy will be missed,we met him @ LHC where our father was and Tommy was his room mate,we stayed in touch on and off,I am thankful that I got to have a long conversation with him befor his passing,we were talking about his treatments and Tommy said after I prayed with him that either way it turns out it is a win-win situation,he was ready to meet his Lord!

My thoughts and prayers are with Judy and Dana. Tommy was an amazing person wo will be missed tremendously. My fondest memories are the mornings that he and I would get up and fix hot dogs and french fries in the microwave for breakfast every morning before we walked to the bus stop to head to the fabulous "Lee-Davis High School". My thoughts and prayers are with Judy and Dana at this sad time. Tommy was such a terrific kid and an inspiration to us all. One favorite memory in watching him grow into a positive, witty young man, we were at a river cottage one summer, 4 moms and our kids. The kids were walking down the sandy road and Tommy was navigating the sand as best he could with his crutches, but not able to keep up at the pace he wanted.
