Not sure what to say?

Your family will be in my prayers. Jim operated on my arm from a hunting accident in 1971, and probably saved my life. Will always be grateful. May he rest in peace.

Sympathy is extended by the Charles Phillips family to Dr. Jim's family because of the many years knowing Jim as a doctor and also a neighbor at the cabin. He was a unique and intelligent person, and we became very fond of him in the role of both physician and friend.

Deepest sympathies to Patty, Jim, and the rest of your family.

Hi Patty, I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. I read his opituary and he was quite an accomplished man. My father passed this passed March so I know what you are going through at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My sincerest sympathy to his children and family. He was such a favorite of mine. He was always all business most of the time and it was always a goal of mine to somehow squeeze a chuckle out of him!!!
He was a terrific doctor and someone who could not get enough education. I was so sad when he left Quincy.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr Bitter's passing. He hired me to learn vascular ultrasound at a time when it was just a blip on the screen, and we developed the vascular lab and went on to include many other modalities. He was ahead of his time in new testing and procedures and I owe my career to this man. Always generous, always kind to me and I will never forget him. God speed Dr Bitter. You won't be forgotten.
