Not sure what to say?

The Bastians loved/love the Blackers. I have loved the Blackers since the day I met them in T.C.'s furniture and appliance store when Elaine and I first got married. He was a big help in getting me launched. The Blackers got me started off on the right foot, with a job, early morning seminary teacher and a great friendship. Brother Morris Bastian

The Blackers were great friends and role models to the Bastians. I, Morris Bastian, worked for T.C. for a couple of years and got to know Jim quite well. The Blackers loved the furniture business and loved being part of the Caldwell business conglomerate. The Bastians came to love and appreciate all the good things the Blackers did for them and the business community in Nampa, Caldwell, Ontario, Burley and Twin Falls. Sure love the time we spent together! Morris/Elaine Bastian

Remember Jim well! I came to love and admire the Blackers when I worked for TC when the Blacker Furniture and Appliance store was located in downtown Caldwell. Jim was just a young man then; and if I had known he was going to grow and develop into such s special person, I would have more deferential. God bless his wife, family and posterity. Morris Bastian

One of the best bishops I ever worked with. Fred Larsen

The Blackers had a great, positive influence of my life. When I worked for TC Blacker in 1960, I got acquainted with most everyone in the family, including Jim. They made me feel included, valued and important. I will long remember with fondness TC, Jim and the Blacker family. They were special, special people.

May God bless Jim's family. They made a difference for good in my life and the community of Caldwell/Nampa.

Morris Bastian

Our deepest and warmest sympathies to the Blacker family! The Blackers entered our lives when we married and were employed by Blacker Furniture and Appliance. We knew Jim then as the bosses son. Jim was a happy, friendly young man. One we have never forgotten.

We send our deepest sympathy and kindest thoughts and feelings to Jim's family. You were blessed with a great father, husband and church and civic leader. God has a special place for him in one of his many mansions.

Jim was serving as a bishop when I first started teaching seminary. He was one of the kindest men I knew. I thought of him often through the years.
