Not sure what to say?

I worked for Radiology Associates for twenty years and during that time enjoyed working for Dr Blackwell. I am thankful his sister-in-law was able to care for him in his last days.

Jim and I were med school classmates and immediately bonded over humor as a way to deal with the pressures in anatomy lab and over the ensuing 4 years. Fond memories and a great loss for all of us.

I enjoyed working with Dr Blackwell at Carilion Hospitals. He was always professional and kind. So sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to the family.

Dr. Blackwell was a great man. He taughte so much in Ultrasound and lete help with procedures. He will be missed.

Dr. Blackwell was always a gentleman with the technical staff and was a pleasure to work with!

I worked with Doctor Blackwell and my daughter babysat for him. I can only say that he was not only a rare and amazing person but a knowledgeable Radiologist.I am so sorry the world has lost such a fine man Pat Poff

Sending sympathy to the family of Dr.Blackwell... Worked with him from the beginning when he started at Carilion .Enjoyed getting to know him and his wonderful wife Tammy. Rest well !

I worked with Dr. Blackwell many years at CARILION ROANOKE HOSPITAL. I worked there for 40 years before I retired. He was very easy going and a pleasure to work for. It´s sad all the great Radiologists that I have learned so much from are passing away. Prayers to his family and friends.

I never met him, but I taught his son Ryan at Penn Forest in Roanoke. What a wonderful young man he was! Like his father, Ryan was quite the wordsmith, the best I had ever taught. My sympathies, Ryan. Carol Baumgardner
