I unfortunately never got a chance to know my cousin or learn from him the great game of golf. I only accidentally found out from someone who knew the Blairs in Saint Louis, John and Peggy Vaughn, that he had recently died. My sisters, Mary Blair and Travis, as well as myself, pass on our sincere condolences and would, if possible, like to renew our family ties. Around Central Missouri, Jim Tom was a legend, going back to the 50's and the Phil Cotton Tournament. The combination of power, grace, touch, and spirit are not always present in the same person. I will always treasure that watchful eye of his on the golf range.
It was a special treat for me to visit with him and enjoy the love he had for the game of golf. We will visit with you when you get to florida but please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Fondly, Ginny & Steve

Mrs. Blair, please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband. I knew Mr. Blair when I was Harold Goodman's secretary at GJN. Mr. Blair was always very pleasant on the telephone when he called our office, or when he visited Mr. Goodman. He was a true gentleman.
