My great grandpoppie was the best!!!!

My Pop Doodles was a wonderful, kind man who lived a great and unforgettable life. Unfortunately,I only got to have my Great Grandfather for my whole 16 years of life, which is not alot compared to the 79 years he lived. He will always be remembered and missed, and there will forever and always be a place in my heart for him.

My grandfather was such a blessing in my life. He was a man of integrity, honesty, and values. He taught me to always keep "my word" and to treat others fairly. I have the utmost respect for him and appreciate his devotion to our family. I have so many happy memories and good times to recall with my Poppie. He was very special to me and I treasure him. He is loved dearly and will be sorely missed - more than words could ever say.

I am the eldest great grandson and have many happy memories. My Poppie was a great man and I never heard him say anything bad, ever. He always set a good example of how a man should live his life. I love and miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss Nancy. I was hoping I would be able to visit and meet you both next year.

My Uncle Jim was a wonderful man. My fondest memory is one I have had since I was 16 years old. My mom and I came into town and we were visiting Uncle Jim and Aunt Nancy. He was fixing a mirror on his big blue Buick station wagon . He needed something from the auto store and asked me if I wanted to ride along in his new Cadillac Sure I said. After he bought whatever it was he needed we came out of the store and he said “have you ever driven a Cadillac” and he handed me the keys and I drove us...

A man can be known by many names; Father, Dad, Daddy, Uncle, Son, just to name a few. To me James E. Blankenship was FIL (father in law) and over the years he was so much more than that. He was the one person I could go to for advice on just about anything. He taught me the importance of being an honest man, both in life and in business. I owe so much to him and with his passing I as well as many others have lost a very special part of our lives.

My grandfather was the embodiment of everything that a good man should be. He possesed a quiet, gentleman's dignity that I can only hope to emulate. He stood by his principles and instilled in his family the importance of doing what is right, not for any reward, but simply because it is the right thing to do. We love you and miss you Pop, and we can't wait for the day that we see you again. Your's in Christ,

This is my Poppy. He was an amazing grandfather. I have a bunch of memories with and about him. He was so sweet and he would do anything for anybody. He used to take me to the library and get me Dunkin Dounuts when I came down to visit. I spent a week with him and Grammy last summer. I enjoyed talking with him and hanging out with him.
