Not sure what to say?

I still think of you fondly, Dr. Blanton. Thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and treating me as your equal when I was young. Your love and spirit are with me always. So glad I got to meet you.

I was truly saddened to hear of Dr. Blanton's passing. He was hands down one of the best teachers I have ever had. He taught me many lessons in the classroom, and even more lessons about life. As excellent of a teacher as he was, he was an even better person and his absence will be keenly felt.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Coach Tony Blanton, a gifted educator and one of my early inspirations. He was my 7th grade history teacher in the early 70's at Hammond, and I have never forgotten his engaging manner in the classroom. Few are those who can keep a crowd of 12 year olds hanging on your every word. Though Coach Blanton was my teacher for one brief year, he truly touched my life.
